better late than never Spring Break '11 layout!

Oh my goodness...SIX more days til school starts back?! It's funny how it sneaks up on you like that. I was a bit bummed at the beginning of the summer knowing that we weren't traveling like we had the past few years, but all in all it was a great summer. Dillon started off his summer with an ear infection that just wouldn't quit...only his second ear infection EVER. That was 15+ days out of the pool! I also spent a lovely weekend with my Mom & my sister Janine in Montgomery. We drove up on a Sat, spent the night & went to the matinee showing of "Menopause the Musical!" A rare opportunity for the three of us indeed. Here is a layout I just finished of the kids & I at the beach the last day of Spring Break. I used Echo Park "Splash" & "Summertime"! I love Echo Park! Thanks for looking!

So I'm starting a blog for the first time ever...

...and I'm already stumped! Stumped on what to write about that is. Isn't that what blogging is all about? I can tell I'm not gonna be so great at this...

Well, here goes nothing!

Today is Monday 4/07/08 and my kids are back in school today after being off for spring break last week; Whew! Its funny how you look so forward to the time off with your kids, then you can't wait for them to go back to school...Yes, I admit it - My kids were getting on my last nerves by Saturday. There. I'm only human...and pooped. haha!

So Sunday is always an exciting day because the new Michaels' Weekly coupon comes in the paper. The brain starts to buzz with, "What can I buy for 40% off this week?" 9 times out of 10, I don't even use it; but its always there in your purse calling your name... This week, my friends, was different. My DD and I ventured out to the Eastern Shore Centre in Spanish Fort, AL for some afternoon shopping. First stop, Panera. Second stop, Michaels.

Purchasing a die cutting machine has been on my "to do list" for some time now; But who the heck wants to spend hundreds of dollars on a machine that is possibly not going to be used all that much, who knows? After much hemming and hawwing, I settled on the Cuttlebug. Mainly b/c everything Cuttlebug is 50% off this week - Woo hoo! So I happily brought my empty Cuttlebug box to the counter for purchase along with some dies and embossing folders. Can I please tell you that I am now in LOVE with my Cuttlebug? I have been Cuttlebugging like crazy since I got the kids off to school this morning! My favorite so far is the "Man Sign", "Woman Sign" (you know, like the man and woman signs on the bathroom doors? I am totally digging these symbols lately), "Camera" and "Space Fun" (Cuttlekids). Now, if I can just incorporate them all into a layout, I will be doing really good...

Thanks for reading my completely boring blog. I'll hopefully be getting a bit more interesting with the content and posting pictures too!

See Ya'll,
Colleen
